The Cadet Boys also took on Drumshanbo VS. After taking the opening set they lost the next two after an exciting battle 25-19; 17-25; 18-25.
Cadette Girls Volleyball
Cadet girls first team played two friendly matches this week against two of Strokestown’s Cadet Girls teams. Enthusiasm, teamwork, a supportive team and subs resulted in Elphin winning both matches on the day. Students eagerly look forward to their next match, which will be the first in the knock-out stage.
Cadet Girls second team participated in their first matches on Wednesday, rivaling the two Strokestown teams. It was their first time playing as a team, with any blunders being over-shadowed by improvements in serving, returns and overall team-work. Unfortunately, Strokestown won both matches, but our Elphin results showed the girls’ improvement, with the first score in the first match being 25:8 to Strokestown, and the final score of the second match being 25:19 to Strokestown.
